Lynyrd Skynyrd Fairfax Concert reviews
Spectacular
Having never seen Lynyrd Skynyrd live was a tragedy, so I opted to see them now. Gary Rossington wasn’t there due to his cardiac recovery, so there wasn’t one original member performing, and that was sad. But the show was spectacular. It doesn’t seem like there’s a bad seat in the house and everything you need is right there. There are many screens to see, close up, the band onstage. There were a couple of times that RVZ was displayed on the screen in the background, sometimes singing along with them, but I was disappointed that there wasn’t more of that. It would’ve been nice to dedicate at least one screen on each side to original live shows from the 70’s so we could hear their music and watch them playing it alongside the current musicians. After all, their perseverance after 45+ years keeps the memories alive, so why not let us see those memories too.
